I have never really gotten too involved with twitter, however I always hear a lot of people talking about the “Twitter World” and “Tweets”, etc. While working on the project I found an exciting website that is based off of Twitter. It is called Twiducate. It strictly designed for the classroom which will be able to help me someday whenever I am a teacher. It is a fun tool for teachers and students to communicate ideas and thoughts in a convenient way.
How it works:
A teacher creates an online classroom for themselves and their students. They provide their students with a special code to use to log in to Twiducate. Using this tool is a benefit for teachers to change the pace of the old, boring, lectured type classroom. It is a way for teachers to get their students excited by introducing an online classroom. It is also trustworthy because the teachers are in control of the private networks.
Benefit for students:
1. Easily be able to keep track of deadlines and homework
2. Record and share thoughts and ideas with fellow classmates
3. Improve writing and punctuation
4. Parents can be informed of daily projects, making it easier to keep their children on task.
Here is a video I found that explains how Twitter can be useful in the classroom. Enjoy!!
So what do you guys think of the Twitter World? Do you guys use Twitter yourselves? And do you feel that you could someday incorporate Twiducate into YOUR classroom?
